Real Madrid’s Antonio Rüdiger and Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala are both in Germany’s World Cup squad.
In an interview with German TV channel ZDF, which also appeared on Mundo Deportivo, the centre-back was full of praise for his young compatriot, claiming he has the potential to play for Real Madrid one day:
“What is he doing at Bayern? He is an outstanding footballer and a very, very good boy. He has his feet on the ground despite all the noise around him and he has everything to hopefully play here [Real Madrid] one day.”
Musiala is not on Los Blancos’ radar as things stand, with the European champions targeting Jude Bellingham instead. The 19-year-old renewed his contract with Bayern Munich a year and a half ago until 2026, with the Bavarian outfit hoping that he will grow into their star player in the next few seasons.
Nonetheless, a successful World Cup campaign for Germany could attract interest for Musiala from Bayern Munich’s European rivals.
