As reported by Le Progrès, Angel City FC and France midfielder Amandine Henry (34) is set to sign for Lille OSC. She has chosen Les Dogues over domestic rivals Paris Saint-Germain.
Henry left France in the summer to join American side Angel City FC, however, she will profit from the off-season by returning to La Hexagone. The midfielder, who has 96 caps for Les Bleues, was in discussions with both Lille and PSG, however, she has ultimately made the choice to join the former.
Henry was keen to be close to her family, who live in the north and she was also unkeen to join a club that would be a direct rival with former club Olympique Lyonnais for the title. Henry won six Champions League titles with OL during her time with the club. The short-term deal with LOSC will also allow Henry to prepare for the 2024 Paris Olympics, which she has set as her major objective this year.
