As reported by AS, Julen Lopetegui is on the radar of Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad as they look to replace Nuno Espírito Santo who was sacked a few days ago following their poor run of form.
The former Sevilla manager, whose last club was Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers, is already seen as the main candidate in the Saudi press.
However, the Basque manager’s main preference would be to remain in England where he currently resides. Whether Lopetegui chooses to join Karim Benzema’s Al-Ittihad will, therefore, primarily be dependent on how much money he is offered.
Lopetegui is already being tracked by other clubs including Villarreal who have recently sacked their manager, Lyon, and even Manchester United should they choose to replace Erik Ten Hag.
