Valencia reject filming of Vinícius’ Netflix documentary during Real Madrid clash

The powers that be at La Liga outfit Valencia have rejected a request from Netlfix, to film the latest segment of their documentary surrounding Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr. at the club’s ground this weekend.

That’s according to Marca, who have on Monday provided an insight into the situation.

Brazilian production company Conspiraçao are currently in the process of filming a feature-length film for Netflix, which will provide an inside look into the life of attacker Vinícius.

They have, in turn, been attending Real Madrid’s fixtures throughout the season, to gather footage, interviews, and more.

The plan, as a result, was to make the trip to the Mestalla this coming Saturday, to take in Los Blancos’ La Liga meeting with Valencia.

As alluded to above, however, after requesting permission from Valencia, Conspiraçao have today been rebuffed.

Los Che, it is understood, previously expressed their openness to the project, but, at the last minute, have gone back on their word.

La Liga, meanwhile, have backed the decision, as the brass at the Mestalla work towards restoring the club’s reputation.

This comes after Vinícius, in the same fixture last season, was subjected to some of the worst racism in the recent history of Spanish football.
