France captain Kylian Mbappe has spoken about PSG’s Spanish head coach Luis Enrique in his latest conference with his national team.
Mbappé on his contract extension at PSG
“This is not news from the French national team. If you have that question, you have to come to the PSG training ground and I will answer it. It’s the country first and foremost,” he said in quotes reported by Relevo.
“It’s not something that weighs on me, I don’t think about it on the pitch. When I’m on the pitch, I don’t get involved in things that are off it.”
Mbappé on the difference between Deschamps and Luis Enrique
“Here [with France], the coach adapts to the opponent, which means I’m a different player. I can still improve and the coach gives me total freedom on the left.
“Luis Enrique gives me more structure. I adapt to all those patterns and with the two great coaches I have, I’m always interested in listening to them.
“He’s [Luis Enrique] a great coach and has a lot to teach me. From day one, I told him that he wouldn’t have any problems with me. I’ve always worked very well with the coaches I’ve had.”
