According to Fabrizio Romano, Jérémy Doku (21) is travelling to Manchester to have his medical ahead of his move to Manchester City. The Belgian international is set to complete his medical tests on Wednesday, ahead of his pending move to the Etihad Stadium.
The Cityzens have officially agreed a fee with Rennes for Doku, worth a reported £55m. The 21-year-old has already agreed personal terms with the European Champions. City have targeted the Belgian star as a replacement for Algerian international Riyad Mahrez, who has joined Saudi Pro League outfit Al Ahli for £30m.
West Ham United had also been reportedly interested in signing the former Anderlecht winger but Doku rejected the opportunity to move to East London in favour of joining up with Pep Guardiola in Manchester. The Belgian international has impressed for Rennes in Ligue 1 recently with his eye-catching performances. Doku made 29 appearances for Les Rouges et Noirs in Ligue 1 last season, scoring six goals and assisting a further two.
