Kicker claims that RB Leipzig have emerged as the frontrunners in the race for Christoph Baumgartner.

RB Leipzig are apparently leading the race to sign Christoph Baumgartner from Hoffenheim.
According to Kicker, Die Roten Bullen are “in pole position” to sign the 23-year-old attacker, who has also attracted interest from Borussia Dortmund, Eintracht Frankfurt, Manchester United and Brighton & Hove Albion, among others.
Baumgartner reportedly has a release clause of 32 million euros, which would have been halved if Hoffenheim had been relegated. Unfortunately for Leipzig, that didn’t happen, but they could still get the attacker for less than his release clause should he push for a transfer.
A swap deal involving Angelino, who spent last season on loan at Hoffenheim from RB Leipzig, could be a possibility.
The Austria international, whose contract with Hoffenheim expires in 2025, could come in as a replacement for Dominik Szoboszlai, who recently refused to rule out a summer move.
