Union Berlin have made an approach to sign Paulo Otavio from VfL Wolfsburg, according to ESPN.
However, the capital club face competition for his signature, with Mallorca, Burnley, Besiktas, Al-Sadd and Sao Paulo also said to be interested.
It was recently announced that the 28-year-old left-back will leave Wolfsburg this summer after four years at the club.
Union Berlin already have two former Wolfsburg players in their squad, with Robin Knoche and Jerome Roussillon both playing for ‘Die Eisernen’.
