Still more rumors regarding the future of Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Daichi Kamada are surfacing. The latest reports have the Japanese international headed not towards Spain, but the Westward tip of the Iberian Peninsula. Portuguese sporting newspapers “A Bola” and “Record” report that the 26-year-old has been persuaded by German head-coach Roger Schmidt to join SL Benfica.
German tabloid “Sport Bild” had linked the valuable free-agent with a move to the Portuguese capital before and, in the process of citing the reports appearing in the Portuguese papers, notes that a move appears more likely. Germany’s Kicker Magazine notes both reports, but does not claim that any of its sources can verify them.
