Spanish youth international set to join Dortmund

A reliable Portuguese news source presently reports that Spanish youth prospect Ivan Fresneda has opted to join Borussia Dortmund.

At last check, 18-year-old Spanish youth international Iva Fresneda of Real Valladolid was left to decide for himself whether he would wish to sign for Borussia Dortmund or Arsenal FC. Both the English and German club were reported to have offered the La Liga side €15 million to sign the young fullback in January.


Portugal’s “Mais Futebol” reports that the Spanish youth international, after also considering an offer from Sporting CP, will ink a deal with Germany’s Schwarzgelben. The Spanish U19 international’s natural position is that of a right fullback/wingback, but he has also impressed in central defense for his Spanish side this year.

The budding talent is worth an estimated €10 million.
