As reported exclusively by Fabrizio Romano, Bundesliga side Union Berlin are in advanced negotiations to sign Croatian right-back Josip Juranović from Celtic.
Kicker further cite Sky Sports that Union will pay a reported €8m plus €3m in potential bonuses to sign Juranović as a replacement for Julian Ryerson, who joined Borussia Dortmund for €5m.
Juranović would be a transfer record for Union Berlin after Taiwo Awoniyi (€8.5m) and Jordan Siebatcheu (€6m).
Juranović (27) has played 18 games across all competitions for Celtic this season, and also made six appearances for Croatia at the World Cup. Since joining Celtic from Legia Warsaw for €3m in August 2021, Juranović has played 53 games in all competitions.
When Urs Fischer favours a 4-4-2, Juranović can operate at right-back, his preferred position, but can also act as a wing-back when Fischer opts for a 3-5-2.
Union Berlin are fifth in the Bundesliga, eight points behind leaders Bayern Munich.
