UFC 333 Salaries For Volkanovski, Evloev, Yan and Dvalishvili

Alexander Volkanovski leads the UFC 333 disclosed purses following his stunning victory over Movsar Evloev to defend his UFC featherweight title.

The UFC returned to Abu Dhabi for Saturday’s UFC 333, and they brought not one but two title fights.

The championship double-header featured a UFC featherweight title showdown between Volkanovski and Evloev and a trilogy between Petr Yan and Merab Dvalishvili for the UFC bantamweight title.

Elsewhere on the main-card, British flyweight star Lone’er Kavanagh and heavyweight contender Alexander Volkov returned to action, while featherweight standouts in Aaron Pico and Losene Keita also featured.

The full salaries from the Middle East event have now been revealed. Below, we’ve taken a look at the best of the action, together with a breakdown of what the UFC 333 fighters earned.

Alexander Volkanovski Stops Movsar Evloev to Defend UFC Featherweight Title

Alexander Volkanovski and Movsar Evloev

Volkanovski put his UFC featherweight championship on the line against the undefeated Evloev, who won 10 UFC fights in a row before UFC 333.

Given his undefeated MMA record, Evloev posed a serious threat to the 38-year-old’s crown, but the Australian star delivered one of the best performances of his legendary career by stopping the Russian.

Evloev had success on the feet and on the ground in the first round. However, Volkanovski showed his class to secure a second round finish to record his ninth title win in UFC featherweight history as he sets his sights on a super-fight in his final outing.

Petr Yan Beats Merab Dvalishvili in War to Defend UFC Bantamweight Title

Merab Dvalishvili and Petr Yan

Yan and Dvalishvili ran it back for a third time at UFC 333 following the Russian’s victory over his Georgian counterpart at UFC 323 last December.

Yan dethroned Dvalishvili of the UFC bantamweight title at UFC 323 and successfully defended his championship at UFC 333.

The title bout was fought at a blistering pace as Dvalishvili lived up to his ‘Machine’ moniker, relentlessly attacking Yan with a series of takedown attempts.

But Yan grew into the fight and picked his foe apart on the feet, hurting him to the body. ‘No Mercy’ got the nod on the judges’ scorecards.
