Daniel Svensson scored in his 50th Bundesliga game for Borussia Dortmund.

Despite the disappointing result for Borussia Dortmund, Daniel Svensson marked his 50th Bundesliga appearance with a goal. The Swedish international talked about the moment that created Dortmund’s opening goal against Werder Bremen.
“The side swap with Maxi Beier may have made it a little easier for me to get into the one-on-one situation. We created more chances and became more dangerous, so that was good.” Svensson told BVB-TV after the game.
However, the 24-year-old shared his disappointment in the way his club squandered a two-goal lead after the 88th-minute mark. Svensson and Nico Schlotterbeck were doubts before the game, but they both ended up scoring before Bremen’s dramatic comeback.
“I’m obviously very disappointed. We have dominated most of the game. We have to bring the game home after the two goals and keep the three points here. So it was very disappointing for us in the end.” the 19-capped Swedish defender added.
Svensson will hope to keep his starting berth when Borussia Dortmund face Bodø/Glimt in midweek Champions League action.
