Leeds United are in discussions with Fiorentina over a potential move for Jack Harrison during the winter transfer window.
No final agreement has been reached, but negotiations are expected to progress in the coming days.
Harrison remains under contract at Elland Road until June 2028, although his role under Daniel Farke has been limited this season.
After spending the previous two campaigns on loan at Everton, the winger has struggled to re-establish himself following his return to Yorkshire.
He has played just 263 minutes in the Premier League this term and has been named in the starting XI only once.
Farke has often favoured Brenden Aaronson and Noah Okafor in wide areas, while a recent shift to a five-man defensive system has further reduced the need for natural wingers.
Harrison was handed a rare start in Leeds’ FA Cup victory over Derby County at the weekend, although he was deployed out of position at left-back.
That appearance may yet prove to be his final outing for the club if a move to Italy is agreed.
The 29-year-old first joined Leeds United on loan from Manchester City in 2018 and quickly became an important figure under Marcelo Bielsa.
After three successive loan spells, the move was made permanent in 2021 as part of a side that had won the Championship title the previous season.
Harrison remained a regular starter under subsequent managers but was unable to prevent the club’s relegation from the Premier League in 2023.
His decision to leave on loan following that relegation strained his relationship with sections of the Elland Road support.

Leeds remained in the Championship during his absence, with Harrison returning to the club ahead of the current campaign.
Despite being reintegrated into the squad, opportunities have been scarce.
Fiorentina are three points from safety in Serie A, having struggled for consistency in the opening half of the season.
They have also been short of natural wide options, prompting them to explore reinforcements during the winter transfer window.
Harrison has made 219 appearances for Leeds United in all competitions, bagging 34 goals and 32 assists.
With his first-team involvement limited and Fiorentina keen to strengthen, the coming days may prove decisive for both player and club.
