Borussia Dortmund and Germany forward Karim Adeyemi has received a penal order for illegal possession of weapons, according to Bild.
The report claims that Adeyemi has been fined €450,000 after the authorities found a brass knuckle and an electroshock device in his possession in the summer of 2024. He now faces the choice of accepting the penal order or contesting it in court.
Senior prosecutor Michael Burggräf has confirmed to Bild that the penal order targets “a 23-year-old professional footballer.”
Adeyemi has not publicly commented on the matter, but his lawyer has stated that the allegations are linked to a “Mystery Box” ordered online via TikTok.
Adeyemi is part of the German national team squad who prepare to face Slovakia on Monday in a crucial World Cup qualifier.
