In what has been a disappointing season for VfL Wolfsburg so far, 20-year-old Adam Daghim has been one of the bright spots since joining the club from RB Salzburg in the summer.
Despite Die Wölfe’s current struggles, the young Dane could see himself staying permanently, expressing hope that the purchase option in his deal will be activated.
“Of course, it would be nice if it got triggered, but we’ll have to wait and see,” Daghim told Danish outlet Campo.dk.
For now, however, Daghim isn’t focusing on what will happen after this season.
“I’m not thinking that far ahead right now. I’m focused on what we need to improve in the coming games and how we can build a good run of form.”
A poor run of results has seen Wolfsburg plummet to 14th in the Bundesliga table and led to Paul Simonis losing his job as head coach.
Daghim is eager to help turn things around once the international break is over.
“Winning is fun, losing isn’t. But there’s not much you can do other than get stuck in and work hard,” he said.
