According to Calciomercato, Davide Frattesi could be among the players Inter consider selling in January, with his role under new manager Cristian Chivu now far less central than it was initially planed.
The Italian midfielder has seen his minutes drop sharply since Chivu’s appointment, as the coach has introduced tactical changes that have altered the club’s midfield hierarchy.
The report claims that Inter’s long-term renewal talks with Frattesi have stalled, and with the player no longer as involved as he was under Simone Inzaghi, the club could explore potential exit routes during the winter window. While Frattesi remains highly rated inside the club, Chivu’s new approach appears to prioritise different profiles in midfield, leaving the 24-year-old at risk of being sidelined further.
Due to this, Oaktree management are having doubts about the Azzurri star’s long-term future at the Nerazzurri.
A sale in January is not guaranteed but remains possible, particularly if Frattesi seeks more playing time elsewhere.
