Juventus and Napoli considering summer move for Nicolas Jackson

Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson could be on the move to Italy this summer with both Napoli and Juventus pondering a deal, according to Sky Sport Italia.

Following the arrival of Liam Delap and Chelsea’s continued pursuit of another striker, Jackson’s long-term future at Stamford Bridge is currently uncertain.

The Senegalese had a game to forget on his 24th birthday on Friday as he was sent off within minutes of coming on as a second-half substitute in Chelsea’s 3-1 defeat to Flamengo.

Jackson, who joined Chelsea from Villarreal in 2023, has shown flashes of brilliance, but his time in West London has been marred by inconsistency, with the striker often struggling with composure and decision-making in the final third.

Juventus, seeking a replacement for Dusan Vlahovic, who is largely expected to leave, are now contemplating a swoop for Jackson, while Napoli are also weighing up an approach.

Both heavyweights are actively exploring attacking reinforcements, and Jackson, despite his mixed stint at Stamford Bridge, is attracting serious interest from Italy.

The Bianconeri are reportedly ahead of Napoli in the race to sign Jackson given the latter’s interest in Darwin Nunez and Lorenzo Lucca.

Financial considerations will be central to any move given that Jackson’s contract runs until 2033, and Chelsea are unlikely to accept any lowball offer.

No formal approach has been made on any side yet, but that could change soon over the next couple of weeks.

In the meantime, Jackson is focused on making up for his second lapse in discipline over the last month, although he may have to wait until August to feature in a Chelsea shirt once again.
