A former member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid turned heads on Sunday night, by making use of the trademark celebration made famous by Cristiano Ronaldo.
Real Madrid’s legends side took to the pitch for the latest occasion late yesterday evening.
After making the trip to Mexico, Los Blancos’ veterans locked horns with arch rivals Barcelona, in the latest edition of the Leyendas Clásico.
When all was said and done, it was the former who emerged triumphant, by way of a penalty shootout.
This came after the two sides could not be separated en route to a 2-2 draw. On target for Real Madrid on the evening were the recognisable figures of Luis Figo, and Marcelo.
And it was the latter who conjured up the iconic celebration alluded to above.
After putting Los Merengues two goals to the good, left-back Marcelo made a beeline for the corner flag, before unveiling his best edition of Cristiano Ronaldo’s ‘SIUU’ pose:
