Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen has commented on the possibility of extending Joshua Kimmich’s contract.
With just one year left on his contract with Bayern Munich, Joshua Kimmich’s future remains up in the air.
When asked about Kimmich’s expiring deal, Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen gave a rather diplomatic answer.
“Joshua Kimmich is an extraordinary character who always gives his all in every game – perhaps sometimes with too much ambition. Vincent Kompany made it clear early on that he’s got his back,” Dreesen told Sport Bild.
“I think Joshua feels comfortable in Munich, everything else will depend on the talks with [board member for sport] Max Eberl and [sporting director] Christoph Freund.”
Kimmich, 29, has played for Bayern since 2015.
