Borussia Dortmund will be without new signing Yan Couto when they face Werder Bremen this weekend.
After watching Borussia Dortmund’s 2-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt from the bench last week, Yan Couto will have to wait a little longer before making his Bundesliga debut.
As BVB coach Nuri Sahin announced on Thursday, Couto will not be available for Saturday’s match against Werder Bremen.
“Yan Couto is out. He has a slight injury,” Sahin revealed at a press conference on Thursday.
“He will stay with us during the international break. We hope he’ll be back the week before Heidenheim and be available then.”
Sahin also confirmed that Serhou Guirassy remains unavailable this weekend. Except him and Couto, all other players are fit and available.
Dortmund face Heidenheim after the international break on September 13.
