Bayern Munich have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Hiroki Ito from VfB Stuttgart.
VfB Stuttgart defender Hiroki Ito is set to join Bayern Munich, according to several reports.
Bild, Sky Germany and Fabrizio Romano all report that the Bavarians will sign the Japanese centre-back after triggering the €30 million release clause in his contract.
According to Sky Germany, Ito will put pen to paper on a contract until at least 2028 with the Bavarians.
Capable of playing in central defense and as a left-back, the 25-year-old featured 29 times for Stuttgart in the 2023/24 campaign.
Both Bild and Sky Germany make it clear that Ito’s imminent arrival doesn’t change Bayern’s willingness to sign Bayer Leverkusen’s Jonathan Tah, who is also a central defender.
