Confirmation of the identity of the official set to take charge of Barcelona’s meeting with Sevilla on Sunday has come to the fore online.
And those of a Blaugrana persuasion will no doubt be delighted with the news.
This comes owing to their side’s stellar record in outings overseen by Alejandro Muñiz Ruiz.
Muñiz Ruiz was for his part on Saturday officially announced as the man set to take charge of Barca’s final pre-international break fixture, at Sevilla tomorrow afternoon.
Over past years, the Catalans have taken to the pitch on eight occasions with Muñiz Ruiz as the lead official.
And as per a report from Diario Sport, on all but one of these occasions, Barcelona emerged on the right side of the result come the full-time whistle.
Their only failure came last season, when Hansi Flick’s troops were held to a 2-2 draw by Real Betis at the Estadio Benito Villamarín.
