In the aftermath of France’s historic 14-0 victory against Gibraltar in the EURO 2024 qualifiers, Kylian Mbappé (24) spoke to TF1 on what was a historic night for the France captain. The PSG forward scored a hat trick against a helpless Gibraltar team who were reduced to ten men – these three goals marked up 300 career goals for Mbappé.
When speaking to TF1 about the milestone, the former Monaco man said “It’s just part of the process, there are some players who scored 800 or 850 goals in their career… 300 is just hilarious.” With records of 800 goals clearly in his sights, Mbappé added, “I have to keep going and improve for both club and national team.”
The French attacker’s third strike of the night was enough for him to reach the milestone of 300 goals in his career but his rather dulled-down reaction shows he won’t be stopping at 300. Following his heroics, Mbappé now has 46 goals for Les Bleus. The other 254 goals in his professional career are split between PSG (227) and Monaco (27).
