20 Fighters With Most UFC Wins in History

For most MMA fighters, simply winning a fight inside the UFC Octagon is the culmination of a lifelong dream. Such is the level of competition in the sport’s leading organisation that stringing together multiple wins is a tough task.

Given that fighters on losing streaks are frequently cut by the company, it takes serious ability and heart to remain under UFC contract for a sustained period. Even those that have been in and around the title picture will eventually be shown the door if their results don’t live up to their reputation.

However, a group of fighters have survived the cutthroat world of top-tier MMA to rack up an impressive number of wins. The most recent example of a UFC veteran adding to a storied tally of victories came when Charles Oliveira returned to action at UFC Rio to submit Mateusz Gamrot in the first round.

Below is a look at the 20 fighters in UFC history with the most wins inside the Octagon. Where two or more fighters are tied in terms of bouts won, the higher placing has been awarded to the competitor with the highest win percentage in the company.

Rafael dos Anjos

UFC wins: 21

RafaelDosAnjos

He may currently be riding a three-fight losing streak, but Dos Anjos once reigned as the UFC Lightweight Champion. In his prime, the Brazilian was one of the best pound-for-pound fighters on the planet. Among his 21 UFC triumphs was his title victory over Anthony Pettis at UFC 185. Elsewhere, Dos Anjos has wins over the likes of Nate Diaz, Robbie Lawler and Donald Cerrone.

9

Demian Maia

UFC wins: 22

DemianMaia

At his peak, submission ace Maia was among the most-avoided fighters in the UFC. The Brazilian submitted names such as Chael Sonnen, Neil Magny, Carlos Condit and Ben Askren in the UFC. Maia may have failed in his two championship challenges inside the Octagon, but his skills on the ground were simply outstanding.

8

Dustin Poirier

UFC wins: 22

Dustin Poirier UFC 302

Despite falling short in three attempts at winning the full UFC Lightweight Championship, ‘The Diamond’ did get his hands on the interim version of the crown when he defeated Max Holloway at UFC 236. Never afraid to take on a challenge, Poirier has UFC wins over standout performers like Justin Gaethje, Eddie Alvarez and Michael Chandler. However, Dustin’s two most famous victories came when he stopped Conor McGregor twice in the space of six months in 2021.

7

Jon Jones

UFC wins: 22

Jon Jones-3

Arguably the greatest fighter ever to set foot in the Octagon, Jones had the raw talent to be the outright leader of this list by some distance. Unfortunately, a number of absences from the Octagon prevented ‘Bones’ from being as active as he might have been – especially later in his career. In terms of quality of opposition faced (and beaten), nobody on this list can match Jones. The Albuquerque native won the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship in just his 14th career fight and from that point on only fought at championship level. Victories over Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson, Rashad Evans and Lyoto Machida proved Jones class, before he beat long-time rival Daniel Cormier to secure bragging rights. After moving up to heavyweight, Jon knocked out Stipe Miocic to show his skills in a second weight class.

6

Andrei Arlovski

UFC wins: 23

‘The Pitbull’ might have ended his career on the back of four-straight defeats, but the former UFC Heavyweight Champion has an impressive 23 scalps to his credit inside the Octagon. Among those to fall to the Belarusian were Fabricio Werdum, Brendan Schaub, Travis Browne and Frank Mir. What makes Arlovski’s UFC record even more impressive is that his first and last UFC wins were separated by just shy of 22 years!

5

Donald Cerrone

UFC wins: 23

Donald Cerrone

The always-entertaining ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone was a hit with UFC fans from the moment he stepped inside the Octagon. Although he never quite managed to win a UFC championship, Cerrone did get his hand raised on a regular basis during his time with the company. Charles Oliveira, Jim Miller, Mike Perry and Eddie Alvarez all fell to defeat against the popular fan favourite.

4

Max Holloway

UFC wins: 23

HollowayOrtega

Holloway had just four fights to his name before entering the UFC in February 2012. The promotion didn’t hand him an easy first assignment either, as he was submitted by Dustin Poirier on his debut. However, he lost just twice in the next seven years as ‘Blessed’ established himself as one of the best emerging fighters in the company. He won the UFC Featherweight Championship by beating division legend Jose Aldo at UFC 212 in June 2017. In recent times, he has been involved in a number of high-profile bouts for the symbolic ‘BMF’ title. He won the belt after knocking out Justin Gaethje in spectacular fashion at UFC 300. Holloway then successfully defended the title against Poirier in the main event of UFC 319.

3

Neil Magny

UFC wins: 24

Neil Magny in UFC action

Magny has never challenged for UFC gold, but he has been heavily active ever since debuting for the company in February 2013. He was especially busy in 2014, where his five wins in a calendar year tied a UFC record. Although he’s never been able to force his way into title contention, Magny does have victories to his credit over the likes of Kelvin Gastelum, Johny Hendricks and Robbie Lawler. The 38-year-old is currently riding a two-fight win streak and remains intent on adding to his tally of 24 wins.

2

Charles Oliveira

UFC wins: 24

Charles Oliveira

With his victory at UFC Rio, Oliveira extended his UFC records for both finishes (21) and submissions. The Brazilian is a former UFC Lightweight Champion, having knocked out Michael Chandler to win the vacant crown at UFC 262 in May 2021. However, having lost the title on the scales prior to a planned defence against Justin Gaethje at UFC 274, he has fallen short in his attempts to regain the gold, losing to both Islam Makhachev and Ilia Topuria.

1

Jim Miller

UFC wins: 27

JimMiller

A part of the active UFC roster for the past 17 years, Miller is still going strong inside the Octagon at the age of 42. He’s never been consistent enough to land a shot at UFC gold, but the New Jersey native can boast wins over the likes of Charles Oliveira, Donald Cerrone and Clay Guida. Never in a bad fight, Miller is equally comfortable when standing or grappling on the ground and has shared the cage with nearly every major lightweight contender over the past 15 years.
