Barcelona’s concerning dependence on young winger Lamine Yamal has today been reiterated by the stats.
This of course comes fresh off another altogether disappointing afternoon’s work for Barca earlier today.
After welcoming Las Palmas to Catalunya’s capital for a La Liga clash, Hansi Flick’s troops were condemned to the wrong side of a 2-1 scoreline.
This made it three league outings on the spin for the Blaugrana without a victory.
The aforementioned Lamine, for his part, was forced to make do with a spot on the bench from the off at Montjuïc, fresh off a spell on the sidelines with an ankle injury.
And, as alluded to above, Barcelona’s eventual defeat, in turn, has given rise to a hugely alarming statistic.
As per StatMuse, Barca have now won all 11 games in which Lamine has started in La Liga thus far in 2024/25.
On the other hand, in the four outings he has either missed, or featured from the bench, Hansi Flick and co. are winless, against all of Osasuna, Real Sociedad, Celta Vigo, and now Las Palmas.
