Die Werkself’s midfield general has caught the eye of the Series A side.
Having been linked a few weeks back, AC Milan have confirmed their concrete interest in Granit Xhaka, Sky Germany reports.
Xhaka has received many inquiries, but there aren’t a lot of clubs that he’d leave Bayer Leverkusen for this summer.
However, the Italian club is an option Xhaka is considering should they be able to advance in talks and negotiations.
That’s why there’ll be a meeting between Milan and the player’s agents in the next days – there are no decisions, offers or agreements yet.
Meanwhile, Bayer Leverkusen and Erik ten Hag’s clear stance is that they want to keep the 32-year-old midfielder.
