An Italian report claims that Wolfsburg are on the verge of agreeing a deal to sign Joakim Mæhle from Atalanta.
VfL Wolfsburg are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Danish full-back Joakim Mæhle from Atalanta.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Wolfsburg are close to an agreement with Atalanta after upping their offer to €12-13 million.
Bournemouth have also been linked with Mæhle, but Wolfsburg appear to be leading the race, with the 26-year-old said to have given the green light for the move to happen.
The Dane, who can play on either the left or right side, has scored six goals and provided seven assists in 96 appearances for Atalanta.
He has made 36 appearances for Denmark, scoring nine goals and assisting six others.
