West Ham well positioned to sign Serie A forward as potential replacement for Kudus

West Ham United are on course to sign Juventus forward Nicolas Gonzalez.

The Serie A giants are prepared to sell the 27-year-old if they receive an offer around £22 million.

West Ham are looking to raise funds for a summer rebuild after enduring a disappointing 2024/25 Premier League campaign.

They are willing to sell Mohammed Kudus. Chelsea, Manchester United and Newcastle United have all been linked with an interest.

Gonzalez is a potential replacement for Kudus. He joined Juventus on loan before securing a permanent transfer last summer for around £24m.

He showed flashes of brilliance but wasn’t entirely convincing with his performances.

Gonzalez fell short of the club’s expectations, bagging five goals and four assists in 35 appearances across all competitions.

A change of scenery could bring the best out of him and he would be a useful replacement for Kudus if West Ham allow him to leave.

However, the Hammers’ want a premium fee for the Ghanaian international which interested clubs are unwilling to pay.

They may have to lower their demands to facilitate a deal.
