Werder Bremen’s Mitchell Weiser has signed with a new agent amid speculation linking him with a move away from the club.

Mitchell Weiser has changed agents amid speculation that he’s heading for the exit door at Werder Bremen.

According to Bild, the 29-year-old right-back will now be represented by Christian Nerlinger and his agency.

Weiser recently confirmed that he’s holding out for an extension to his Werder contract, which expires at the end of the season.

“I am hesitating because I am ambitious and I want to feel that the club has bigger goals than just staying in the league. I am waiting for that signal,” Weiser said.

The former Bayern Munich player has previously spoken warmly of Spanish football.

“This is the kind of football I like best. In Germany the ball is often played long, in Spain not so much. I like this passing football,” he told Deichstube.
