A considerable contingent of Barcelona supporters tonight made use of the opportunity to take aim at their side’s upcoming opponents.
Barca, of course, will mark their return to action on Tuesday evening.
After battling to a 3-2 triumph at the Parc des Princes last week, Xavi’s troops are set to welcome Paris Saint-Germain to Catalunya’s capital, for the return leg of the Champions League quarter-final tie between the clubs.
Barcelona, for their part, impressed on the way to victory in France’s capital, despite having been treated to an altogether hostile atmosphere by the PSG faithful.
On Monday, many of a Blaugrana persuasion therefore thought it only right to condemn the club’s opponents-in-waiting to an equally frosty reception.
Waiting outside the W hotel in Barcelona, the group of fans in question greeted Luis Enrique’s squad with a barrage of insults, responding to last week’s ‘Puta Barca’ chants in Paris with ‘Puta PSG’ chants of their own.
Ousmane Dembélé, who opted to celebrate after netting against his former club in the tie’s opener, was also singled out for particularly ruthless chants.
