Kicker confirms reports from France that Union Berlin striker Jordan is in discussions with Ligue 1 side Reims.
The US international spent last season on loan at fellow Bundesliga side Borussia Mönchengladbach and has started 10 of his 18 appearances for Union this season, but has failed to score in 907 minutes. With the arrival of Marin Ljubicic, Jordan’s playing time at Die Eisernen is likely to diminish.
Jordan made his professional debut at Reims, playing 75 games across all competitions – scoring 25 and creating 10 before a move to Rennes and then Young Boys. After two years in Switzerland, Jordan moved to Union for €6m in July 2022 but has been unable to be as prolific as he once was, scoring just five in 64 games.
Whether Jordan’s departure for Reims reignites Union’s move for Maximilian Philipp as we enter the final hours of the transfer window remains to be seen.
