As Marca have previously reported, Barcelona, along with nine other European clubs, including PSG, Manchester City City and AC Milan, are being investigated for failing to comply with UEFA’s financial rules for participating in its competitions.
Barcelona claimed yesterday that they know nothing about this situation, but on Saturday evening, Marca report that the Blaugrana and the rest of the teams under investigation will discover the outcome of the investigation in February.
Despite long-standing claims to the contrary, it is reported that Barca’s balance sheets are ‘a mess’, with European football’s governing body ready to act as a result.
The Catalans could find themselves facing a huge fine, as well as a ban of two to three years from the Champions League.
