Three Premier League sides are interested in Bayer Leverkusen’s Odilon Kossounou, according to Bild.
The right-sided defender was back in the starting 11 during his team’s 1-1 draw against SC Freiburg last weekend and had a solid game. The Ivorian international arrived in Germany after signing for €23m from Club Brugge in 2021. However, Kossounou is set to really make his breakthrough at the club. So far this season, he was made 16 appearances for B04.
Despite this, the defender is attracting attention from the Premier League. Bild cites The Sun which reports that West Ham United, Leicester City, and Nottingham Forest are all monitoring Kossounou’s situation and progress.
In particular, West Ham attempted to sign the defender on loan last summer and supposedly once again in the winter. Should the hammers steer clear of relegation, they may pursue Kossounou once again.
The 22-year-old is under contract at Bayer until 2026 and is valued at around €28.5m. Clubs may opt for a loan deal with an option to buy, however, it’s hard to see B04 letting Kossounou go so soon.
