Tom Bischof has taken a step forward in his recovery from appendix surgery.
Bayern Munich announced on Monday that the 20-year-old central has returned to partial team training.
Bischof, who joined Bayern from Hoffenheim over the summer, has not yet featured in the Bundesliga for his new club due to the surgery.
The youngster was a key player for Hoffenheim last season, recording five goals and two assists in 31 league appearances.
After winning their opening two Bundesliga matches of the season, Bayern will continue their league campaign against Hamburger SV on Saturday evening.
