Atalanta midfielder, Teun Koopmeiners has responded to rumours of a potential Liverpool move in the coming weeks.
The Dutchman spoke before the Bologna game, as reported by TuttoMercatoWeb, declaring his stance on the situation:
“I’m playing for Atalanta, I’m very happy here and I’m just thinking about that.”
The links come amid Liverpool’s obvious need for a central midfielder, due to their struggles so far this season, including a recent 3-1 loss to Brentford in the Premier League.
The 24-year-old has enjoyed an impressive season for Atalanta to date, while also being an important part of the Netherlands side who reached the quarter finals, before departing to the eventual winners.
If he were to depart, Koopmeiners would represent a tremendous loss for the Orobici, who currently sit seventh, just five points from fourth.
