Borussia Dortmund picked up their first point in this year’s Champions League as they drew 0-0 with AC Milan at Signal Iduna Park on Wednesday night.

Speaking after the game, BVB coach Edin Terzic praised his team’s performance, but admitted there’s still room for improvement up front.

“I was pleased with our performance, we did ok. We pressed them well, we won a lot of balls but in the end we lacked sharpness in finishing,” Terzic said, according to UEFA.com.

The result means Dortmund remain bottom of Group F with one point, having lost 2-0 to Paris Saint-Germain in their opening match.

“We are bottom of the group but the leaders are just three points away. Tonight Newcastle beat Paris. A surprise to some but certainly not to us. It is a tight group but we are enjoying the challenge. The next game is not yet a final.”

Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Gregor Kobel echoed his coach’s sentiments.

“I was pleased with my own performance. I managed to keep out a few of their shots but I feel as a team we shut them out pretty well,” Kobel said.

“We are on one point now. Bottom of the group. Where do we have to improve? Clearly in attacking! We have yet to score in this year’s competition.”
