According to a report from L’Équipe, Sunderland are set to sign Noah Sadiki (20) from Union Saint-Gilloise during the summer transfer window. The Congolese international midfielder has agreed to join the newly-promoted Premier League club.
The North Eastern outfit have agreed a fee with the Jupiler Pro League club in the region of €20m. A deal has been agreed between the two clubs in which the Black Cats will pay €17m up front plus an additional €3m in performance related bonuses. Sadiki made 39 appearances in the Belgian top flight last term, scoring one goal and registering three assists.
Sadiki is now set to travel to Sunderland and complete his medical tests before signing a contract at the Stadium of Light until 2030. The Union Saint-Gilloise midfielder had attracted interest from Lyon and Wolfsburg, but has decided that moving to the Premier League is the next step for his career.
