Strasbourg will travel to Slovakia without Ben Chilwell (27) and Joaquin Panichelli (21) for their Europa Conference League clash against Slovan Bratislava on Thursday evening.
The Racing Club’s injury list has grown in recent days, with Emanuel Emegha and Mamadou Sarr already ruled out of this week’s fixtures due to muscular issues. Head coach Liam Rosenior confirmed two further absentees on Wednesday in his press conference attended by L’Équipe.
Panichelli, who took a blow to the head against Marseille last weekend, has been sidelined as a precaution. Chilwell, meanwhile, has been left out of the travelling squad after falling ill.
Strasbourg’s trip to Bratislava (kick-off 21:00 CET) comes at a difficult time for Rosenior, who will have to juggle his resources to keep the Alsace side competitive on the European stage, just after a last-minute loss to Marseille last weekend.
