Lars Stindl and Manu Koné are both questionable for Gladbach’s encounter with Schalke 04 on Saturday, head coach Daniel Farke revealed today.
“Lars Stindl has back problems and has missed two days of training. It will be tight, but we hope he will be available on Saturday. Our physios are doing their best to get him fit,” Farke told reporters.
“There is still a little bit of doubt about Manu Koné. He has some swelling on his thigh and couldn’t train today. We hope that he’s fit for Saturday.”
Farke also hinted at a starting place for Alassane Pléa, who could replace Stindl in the line-up.
“‘Lasso’ is a regular and is very valuable to us. He has shown this already with his assists this season. I have 100 percent faith in him. We’ve played three games in six days, so we will rotate the starting eleven,” noted Farke.
