Fabrizio Romano reports that several unnamed clubs are interested in VfB Stuttgart midfielder Enzo Millot, who is currently at the Olympics with France.
Millot has a release clause in his contract, which kicker has previously said is worth more than €20m but interested clubs are willing to pay more than this.
This would be the fourth Stuttgart player to leave this summer because of a release clause all of Serhou Guirassy and Waldemar Anton (both Borussia Dortmund) and Hiroki Ito (Bayern Munich) all left due to clauses in their contract after Stuttgart’s successful season.
The 22-year-old played 31 times for Stuttgart scoring five and assisting four in the Bundesliga as VfB brought Champions League football back to the MHP Arena for the first time in 14 years. Millot’s form earned him a call-up to the France Olympic squad where he played 71 minutes in their opening 3-0 win against the USA.
The positive for Stuttgart is if Millot does leave, they already have a ready-made replacement in the squad in Swiss international Fabian Rieder who joined on loan from Rennes this summer.
