Ruthless Reason Why Viktor Gyokeres Has ‘Dumped’ Model Girlfriend

Arsenal target Viktor Gyokeres has reportedly dumped his model girlfriend to help focus on a move to the Premier League this summer. The current Sporting Lisbon striker scored 54 goals in 52 appearances last season, making him one of European football’s hottest properties.

It initially looked like a sure thing that the former Coventry City forward would reunite with Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford, as Manchester United continue their search for a more talismanic striker than Rasmus Hojlund. While the Red Devils remain interested, recent reports suggest the Gunners are now close to an agreement for the Swedish international.

Gyokeres, 27, is desperate to quit his current club to prove he can deliver at the highest level, and has reportedly been left incensed by Sporting’s £70 million asking price – citing a gentleman’s agreement as the main reason for his frustration. He is now refusing to report for pre-season training in protest, but his most controversial act in pushing for a move has been axing Portuguese girlfriend Ines Aguiar.

Gyokeres Dumps Model Girlfriend To Push Premier League Move

His Portuguese love had previously promised to try to keep him in Lisbon

The actress and model started dating Gyokeres at the start of 2024 before the couple went public several months later. Earlier this season, Ines was caught on camera “promising” she would convince her man to remain in Lisbon. But Corrieo Da Manha, a Portuguese outlet, claims they have since gone their separate ways after Gyokeres called time on the relationship.

According to The Sun, speculation started when Ines did not accompany him to the wedding of Sporting teammate Morten Hjulmand, who was marrying her friend Emilie Sofie Nissen. Gyokeres then went on holiday by himself to Mykonos in Greece, while Ines headed alone to Formentera.

Now, it’s claimed that Gyokeres was the one to break things off in an attempt to “sever all his ties” to Portugal and thus allow him the freedom to join Arsenal. A source said: “Viktor doesn’t want anything that ties him to Portugal, especially because he has already decided that he will not continue at Sporting next season.

“Before going on holiday, he spoke to Ines and explained what he felt. She was also prepared in a certain way, although it was something that was difficult for her because she liked him a lot.”
