Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski appeared on Polish TVP Sport’s flash interview after Poland were knocked out of the World Cup by France on Sunday.
Asked about the possibility of being at the next World Cup, he criticised his country’s defensive style.
“You need joy in the game. It is an important element even in the near future. When we play very defensively there is no such joy. When we try to attack, it’s different… There are many factors that can influence my decision,” he said in quotes picked up by Relevo.
After the 3-1 defeat at the Al Thumama stadium against France, he added: “We gave everything, we fought and created a few chances, especially in the first half. It’s a pity we didn’t take them. Even after their first goal, we tried to play and create problems for them, but it wasn’t enough.”
Lewandowski, who scored in his team’s 3-1 defeat against Les Bleus, will be 37 when the next World Cup begins.
