According to a report from L’Équipe, Stade Rennais have sounded out Bayer Leverkusen winger Martin Terrier (28) over a potential return to the Breton club.
The French forward enjoyed a prolific four-year spell with the Brittany side between 2020 and 2024, scoring 51 goals in 141 appearances across all competitions before joining Bayer Leverkusen last July.
Les Rouge et Noir briefly explored the possibility of bringing back Martin Terrier on loan this summer, but the idea did not progress beyond initial enquiries. Last season the Frenchman made 15 appearances for Leverkusen and scored twice.
Now 28 and under contract in Germany until 2029, Terrier is still working his way back from an Achilles tendon tear that sidelined him for the second half of last season. While Rennes remain active in the transfer market in search of attacking reinforcements, a reunion with their former talisman does not appear to be on the cards.
