According to a report from Ouest-France, Stade Rennais have entered the race for RC Strasbourg Alsace’s Robin Risser (20). The Breton side reportedly want to make the France youth international the backup to Brice Samba (31), with Steve Mandanda (40) set to leave at the end of his contract in June.
Risser spent the season on loan with Red Star this season helping the newly promoted team remain within Ligue 2, finishing five points above Clermont Foot in 15th place. His performances have caught the attention of multiple Ligue 1 clubs, with a race for the goalkeeper heating up.
L’Équipe have reported that OGC Nice have been looking at the goalkeeper as a replacement for Marcin Bulka (25), who has made it clear that he wants to leave this summer, while Stade Brestois have also entered the race with Marco Bizot’s (34) future in the North similarly looking uncertain.
