Conrad Harder’s prospective move from Sporting CP to Stade Rennais looks to have broken down at the final hour. Sacha Tavolieri understands that the move was on the verge of completion, however, RB Leipzig have made a late swoop, offering much more lucrative personal terms. Rennes, wanting to avoid a bidding war, have withdrawn from talks and are now set to try alternative targets, according to a report from Tavolieri.
One of those potential targets is Breel Embolo. AS Monaco are not opposed to selling the Swiss international, who has not been included in a matchday squad yet this season, and who has just one more year remaining on his deal. There are currently talks ongoing, whilst a move for AS Saint-Étienne’s Lucas Stassin could also be re-ignited.
Regardless, a striker is expected to arrive at the Breton club to supplement the arrival of Esteban Lepaul, who completed his move from SCO Angers.
