Teddy Teuma, who has been in and out of the Stade de Reims starting line-up since Luka Elsner’s arrival in the summer, is set to start and captain Les Stadistes as they host AS Monaco at the Stade Auguste-Delaune on Saturday night.
Reims are without three key players for the tie: Joseph Okumu, Reda Khadra, and Mohamed Daramy. The latter two will miss either all or the vast majority of the season having suffered major injuries earlier in the campaign. Prospect Abdoul Koné is recovering from an injury and also nearing a return, although not against Les Monégasques.
Needing goals to get their campaign back on track, Japanese duo Keito Nakamura and Junya Ito will both start for Les Stadistes and support central striker Oumar Diakité.
Reims likely line-up v Monaco
Yehvann Diouf; Sergio Akieme, Emmanuel Agbadou, Cédirc Kipré, Aurélio Buta; Teddy Teuma, Valentin Atangana, Marshall Munetsi; Keito Nakamura, Oumar Diakité, Junya Ito. (L’Éq)
