RB Leipzig travel to Spain to take on Real Madrid on Wednesday. Real Madrid could move one step closer to qualification with a victory while Leipzig must bounce back from 3-0 defeat to Shakhtar Donetsk on matchday 1.

This will be coach Marco Rose’s second match at the club after taking over from Domenico Tedesco who was sacked after the Shakhtar defeat.

It’ll take time for the former Dortmund and Mönchengladbach manager to fully implement his philosophy into the team. Therefore, we can expect Leipzig to set up in a low block and hit Real on the counter with Christopher Nkunku, Emil Forsberg and Dominik Szoboszlai in the pockets and Timo Werner leading the line.

Playing against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu is different to playing against a relatively inconsistent Dortmund at home. I see the visitors posing a great threat on the counter attack as their players know how to use and run into space very well.
