A leading member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid played no part in training alongside the rest of the club’s squad on Thursday.
The player in question? David Alaba.
Stopper Alaba is for his part of course fresh off a rare starting berth in Real Madrid’s backline on Tuesday night.
After Los Blancos made the trip to north London for a Champions League quarter-final showdown with Arsenal, the Austrian was thrown in from the off at left-back.
Alaba, alongside the rest of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad, endured something of an evening to forget at The Emirates, en route to an eventual 3-0 defeat.
And if the latest word stemming from Spain’s capital is anything to go by, then the former Bayern Munich man still appears to be suffering the after effects of the clash.
This comes amid confirmation that Alaba was not part of group training at Valdebebas on Thursday.
It remains unclear whether as much comes owing to any form of injury.
