Real Madrid readying bid as Bayern Munich identify Alphonso Davies replacement

A significant update on the future of Bayern Munich star and chief Real Madrid target Alphonso Davies has come to the fore late this evening.

The info comes courtesy of Sky Germany, who point towards developments surrounding the defender as having kicked up a notch.

It is of course common knowledge that Spanish giants Real Madrid have identified Davies as a prime transfer target, with a view to next season.

Keen to reinforce the left-back options at the disposal of head coach Carlo Ancelotti, Bayern Munich’s star stopper is viewed as the ideal addition for present and future alike.

In turn, negotiations have long been opened with all of Davies himself, the Canadian’s entourage, and the brass at the Allianz Arena.

The one stumbling block, to this point, has been the understandable reluctance of the Bayern hierarchy to bid farewell to one of world football’s finest in his role.

If the latest word stemming from the media on Friday night is anything to go by, though, then the Bavarians, in the very near future, could essentially be left with no choice.

As per reliable Sky Germany pair Florian Plettenberg and Kerry Hau, both the club’s coaching and boardroom staff are growing increasingly resigned to the prospect of Davies moving on in the summer.

As much comes with the 23-year-old ready to ‘force’ his way to Madrid, after seeing his massive contract demands firmly rebuffed in Munich.

In fact, so likely is the transfer now viewed, that Bayern have already begun scouring the continent for a replacement, with AC Milan standout Théo Hernandez considered an early frontrunner to take Davies’ place.

Turning attentions back towards Real Madrid, the capital outfit are prepared to fork over a fee of 40-50 million for their long-time defensive target, but are hopeful of striking a deal for considerably less, ahead of the expiration of Davies’ contract next summer.
